Vittoria Mazzei

Work experience

Before joining Jacobacci & Partners as a trainee, Vittoria completed her Master’s degree in Materials and Nanotechnology Engineering at the Politecnico di Milano. Her final thesis was carried out in collaboration with the Italian Institute of Technology (IIT), focusing on the study, design, and development of photosensitive molecules capable of stimulating mitochondrial activity when properly activated, for therapeutic purposes in the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases.
In 2025, she began her professional experience at Jacobacci & Partners within the patents department, where she collaborates with senior partners in the preparation and management of consulting activities in the field of intellectual property.

Professional focus

Vittoria works alongside senior consultants in assisting clients ranging from Italian universities to companies across various sectors, supporting them in the protection of intellectual property and in identifying the most effective protection strategies.
She is involved in prior art searches, freedom-to-operate and patentability analyses, the drafting and prosecution of Italian and European patent applications, as well as in the drafting of office actions, responses, and technical descriptions in fields such as mechanical engineering, materials science, and chemistry.
